Ybor City

This is from a photo or two that I took while in Tampa this spring. We were with friends, and ended up getting lost a few times. It always turned out great as we discovered things that we would have never seen otherwise! Ybor City was one of those surprises! Loved this place and it's architecture and charm! Enjoyed lunch seated on the sidewalk and soaked up the atmosphere, friendship and food! A very pleasant memory from the trip!
This is done in a small Moleskine watercolor sketchbook. Pigma Micron pen and watercolor.

I have just caught up with your drawings since my last visit. Love the detail in this building, the trees are great.Beautiful Kookaburra ,the mix of colour and fine detail is lovely.I smiled at number 5,more journals and materials than you can use in a lifetime, same here and yet always buying more.

Great sketch, Brian - you have such patience with all that detail. It sounds like a wonderful place, too.

Very nice, Brian. I especiallly like the painting treatment on the textured part of the palm tree trunks.
