Tried a photo this time. Thought that I had it cropped better than this. The color is better than a scan but the details are worse! More practice is needed! Again, these are in a small Ciak notebook. Drawn in ink and watercoloured with Daniel Smith colors.

My scanner does not work with Vista so I always have to take photos. I have found that bright sunlight works best for me. I use Picasa so I can dink around with the colors to make them more natural. Photographing takes a little getting used to.
Great sketching Brian. I love the previous chilies as well, waht radiant colour!Why, what is wrong with the scanner, they look rather nice?

Dad, I'm glad to see some new art! I like the bottle caps those are really cool! Keep the art coming, you really have quit a talent:) good job dad!
I find that sometimes if I smash the scanner down while it's working, it gets a clearer image, especially if the paper is wrinkly.
I do really like these. Do you collect bottle caps, or were they just things hanging around when you went to look for something to draw?
