Candy Continued!

I am continuing with the candy theme. I am not sure how big this will get, but I do have several more that I want to add. The Yorkie and the Lion look like they are marketed in the U.K. by Nestle' from Switzerland. The Lion bar is not that big but I wanted to get the whole thing in! The Phinney bar is out of Seattle Washington and was quite yummy!

I'm enjoying the lovely drawings but also the thoughts you have about these. Yorkie came out in the early or mid seventies in the UK and it was advertised by big guys in big trucks! Wish I could remember the lines but it was pushed as being a real mans snack! The Lion bar is more recent and the ad is really clever - it shows the bar being broken open and the toffee being pulled into strings similar to teeth in a lions open mouth! I live in Switzerland now and Nestle don't market it here. The UK market is choc full (!) of chocolate products that must be made especially. On a recent visit to France I saw Lindt products there that we don't have here. Cadburys is one of the most (or maybe the most) popular chocolate manufacturers in the UK. Every time I go back there are lots of new products, it's a huge competitive market.

Don't forget to paint a Hershey bar! What a fun project you're doing. They ALL look good!

These are fun to follow - I love paintings like these, although I'm not that crazy about chocolate bars.

Lovely idea and nice work! For me, please add a "Snickers"-bar the next time!,-))

Cool beans, Brian.
I LOVE Lion bars. Yes, they are marketed over here.

I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas.
