Venice 2

I thought that I would try this one again on real watercolor paper. I love Venice! It has been years since we were there. I think about it quite often. I am still trying to figure out how to get there again. The exchange rate was great back in 1995 but not so much now. I just seem to be getting farther away! I will keep dreaming!

As I already said in Flickr: this is so w o n d e r f u l! Great job! (The other one with the palms, too!)Keep it up!

P.S. Thanks for your comment on my blog. Yes, it was indeed a bit tough to paint the cappuccino on that kind of paper. It's a Moleskine, but the one for notes, not for drawings or paintings. I want to try it,nevertheless, because I plan to buy a Moleskine calendar and want to do some paintings with watercolours in there, too.

What a gorgeous sketch. I love the colour, the water and your lively shadows. To my shame, I haven't been back to Venice in quite a while either, Brian - and it's only a few hours away!

I was in Venice last summer...ah, I thought it a place I must return to also and explore more. Your sketch brought back a wonderful memory!

I looooove Venice. The colors you chose so remind me of the area next to St. Mark's Square. Oh, you made me miss it too! I'm sure we'll both make it back there someday.
